Overview:
DeepFake is nothing but a computer-generated media based on a human subject that either exists or does not exist in real-life. This is an art of creating fake images using the latest innovation and technological advancement leveraging Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This technology advancement will disrupt the media and entertainment industry.
How to Generate DeepFake AI Images:
- Image and video manipulation software: Tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, or GIMP.
- Data preprocessing tools: This can be created using these attributes such as face detection, alignment, and normalization. OpenCV, Dlib, and MTCNN.
- Deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- Pre-trained models: Few models like StyleGAN, VGGFace, or DeepFaceLab.
AI Tools used to create DeepFake Images:
- Reface
- FaceApp
- DeepSwap
- Artguru AI
- FaceMagic
- Lensa AI
- MyHeritage
Legal Issues related to DeepFake AI:
There are no federal laws yet which prohibits the usage of DeepFake AI things. There are only limitations to the usage of it depending on different states rules & laws.
Note: In India, Government advisory has been issued incorporating the ‘agreed to’ procedures to ensure that users on platforms do not violate the prohibited contents in Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules.
